Please click this button if you have not already read the cautionary words to be found on the Introduction page.

This button takes you to the complete genealogy, that is, all of my genealogy file converted into web-site (HTML) format. The genealogy appearing here will have the birth dates of living persons expurgated.
The first thing presented when you click the above button will be a screen giving the choice of looking at a list of only surnames or a list of every individual name.  (It is usually much quicker to use the Surname page first and go from there to the individual's name.)
You will note a peculiarity in the index where many surnames are followed by a ")". This is an indication that the person is a wife whose maiden name is unknown.
The genealogy is in "Family Group" format which means that an individual's name selected from the index will be presented together with the other members of his or her family; that is, the family of which they are a parent. If they are not a parent they will be presented as a child of their parents family.
Many of the individuals to be found in the genealogy are associated with a Note, and these are often the most interesting information in the genealogy so you don't want to miss them; just click on "[Note]" following their name. Return to your place in the genealogy by clicking on the name of the person (to be found above their note).
Usually the notes about a person are reached from the person's family group presentation but if the individual has neither a spouse nor children their note can be reach only where they are listed as a child under their parent's name.
You can move through a family tree backward, i.e., looking for ancestors, by clicking on the word "parent" which appears in blue following the name of a parent. To move forward in time, i.e., looking for descendants, click on the name of a child of that family group if that child is also listed as a parent. (Remember, in this genealogy even if several children of a family are listed it is usually only the child who is an ancestor that is presented both as a child and as a parent.)
You will note that the names of many individuals are followed by one or more numeric superscripts. These may be clicked to read source citations for the information in the entry. However, not all sources are presented this way; many sources are to be found in the Notes associated with an individual, another reason they are important.
Please accept my apology for not including any citations for hundreds of incidental sources I jotted down on scraps of paper and then promptly forgot about after I had entered the information. These sources are not even to be found in my master genealogy file, a serious transgression in the eyes of a professional genealogist.
This genealogy is of the "all-name" variety; as contrasted with the Gallup Genealogy prepared and sold by the Gallup Family Association which is a "single-name" genealogy.  If you are unclear about this difference please click here ===>

This button takes you to a contents page from which you can select a number of ancestral lines extracted from the Main Genealogy.
While the Family Group format used in the Main Genealogy serves well for viewing all the information about a particular individual it can become tedious to use as a means to track backward in time; for example, to answer the question "Who was my great-great-great grandmother?" (a 6th generation ancestor).  For this we need what is called an Ahnentafel Report.
["Ahnentafel" is a loan word from the German language which simply means "ancestor table" but it is more precisely defined as a numbering construct used in genealogy to present a person's ancestral line compactly and without the need for a diagram such as a family tree.  Deciphering the numbering is a rather arcane skill and unimportant in this application but if you're just curious about how it works, click here ===>  ]
There are thousands of possible ancestral lines in this genealogy, about one for each individual, in fact, so I have chosen only those few lines which I hope will accommodate most readers. You may have to jot down a short branch from one of these lines to actually connect your name into it.
Use these Ancestral Lines by picking one having a short connection into your line, e.g., your parents, grandparents or great grand parents. Now you will have a list naming all of your ancestors to as far backward in time as this genealogy goes. If there is one of particular interest to you, search for their name in the index of the Main Genealogy to see if there are any interesting aunts, uncles, cousins or notes associated with that person.

For the youngsters who might be using this genealogy, here's a question:

What's special about "ancestors" compared to any other kind of relative?
