Notes:
There are a number of family genealogies reporting George, Sr. as having died in England, there are just as many giving his death in Massachusetts. However, while there at least three respected references which mention the immigration of his son George, none of these, nor any others I have found, mention his father coming to America so I do not accept that notion.

The poet Oliver Wendall Holmes was a great grandson of David. Oliver's son, Oliver Jr., was Justice of the Supreme Court.
