This
section is where the compiler of this genealogy
gets to tell his story. Once you have read it you
will not be greatly inclined toward returning to
it. (The music is nice though.)

This is the
complete genealogy, that is, the entirety of my
genealogy file converted to web site format. If
this genealogy is appearing on the Internet, certain
information will have been deleted for living
individuals. The genealogy appearing on a CD will be unexpurgated unless the CD was
especially prepared for some public organization
like a library.
The genealogy
does not include any of the raw material I have
collected. This has been boxed, stored and for the
most part is not properly organized for casual
reference. Please don't request more
information.
The first thing presented
when you click the above button will be a screen
giving a choice between of looking at a list of only
surnames or a list of every individual name.
The genealogy is in
"Family Group" format which means that
an individual's name selected from the index will
be presented together with all the members of the
family to which he or she is a member. If
the individual has a spouse or has children then
he or she will be shown again as the head of their
own family group (even if they didn't have any
children) . Otherwise they will be shown only as a
child of their parent's family.
If an individual
has neither a spouse nor children, biographical
notes about that person, if any, will appear
within the family of their parents. Otherwise
these notes appear with the person in their own
family group.
You can move through a
family tree backward, i.e., looking for ancestors,
by clicking on the word "parent" which
appears in blue following the name of a parent; or
forward, i.e., looking for descendants, by
clicking on the name of a child of that family
group if that child is also a parent or married.
You will note that many
names are followed by a numeric superscript. This
may be clicked to read the source of the
information. (Much of my source material remains
to be reference here.)

This begins the
picture book of the web site. Here you can see how
some of the people in the genealogy appeared. Many
living cousins are to found here as well as
ancient ancestors. To the extent that Internet
space allows it, this section will change
occasionally as more pictures are added.
Note: All
descendants who have pictures they would like
to share are encouraged to provide them to me for
some future revision of this genealogy appearing
either on a CD or on the Internet. Originals will be
scanned and, if requested, will be returned.

Here is where you
will find items of historical interest concerning
people or events which would not fit well within
the body of the genealogy, or would be lost
therein.

Anything you
would like to tell me about this genealogy is very
welcome. Information about errors,
corrections or extensions are especially
appreciated.

This section has a
few words about keeping the Gallup-Miles genealogy
alive and growing.
